We are pleased to welcome you to the first annual meeting of the smartpixels Collaboration!

The smartpixels project aims to develop intelligent front-end architectures for two-dimensional segmented sensors, particularly silicon-based ones, that enable new physics capabilities and superior data reduction compared to conventional approaches.

The workshop will take place at Fermilab’s LPC over two days, concluding with a “Wine & Cheese” talk on the project and its future vision. Discussions will span the full scope of the collaboration, including machine learning design, electrical engineering, and high-level physics goals across all active applications of the technology.

A dedicated, invitation-only PI session will focus on planning the evolution of the project for the coming year and beyond.

A self-hosted dinner will be organized on the first evening of the workshop at Two Brother's Roundhouse at 7pm.

Please follow the registration instructions carefully if you do not have a Fermilab badge, as site access is managed through the official approval system.

There will be a group photo on the 1st floor of Wilson Hall, in the atrium, during the first coffee break.

The workshop could be affected by a potential government shutdown. The organizing committee is monitoring the situation closely and will provide updates as needed. While the government shutdown is still ongoing, it will not affect the in-person part of the workshop.

This inaugural workshop is primarily intended for members of the smartpixels Collaboration, invited speakers, and guests. Outside participation is welcome, but attendees are asked to be mindful of the workshop’s focused scope and objectives.

We gratefully acknowledge Siemens for their support of this workshop and of the broader smartpixels effort.
