Students will be housed at the nearby Embassy Suites and daily shuttle buses will be provided.
Students and lecturers should arrange their own transportation from the airport. See the Transporation page for more details.
Transportation from Embassy Suites to Fermilab will be provided every morning, and return transportation every afternoon on Monday - Friday for both weeks of the school. The schedule for these shuttles will be provided when available.
Transportation for tours around the Fermilab site will be provided. Information on tour schedules will be posted to the class schedule. Fermilab also hosts an on-call shuttle during business hours for any other on-site transportation.
Attendees will be responsible for their own transportation outside of class hours and events. The Embassy Suites provides a shuttle from the hotel to the Naperville downtown area, including the BNSF train station, which has trains every one or two hours to and from downtown Chicago. There are also daily shuttles to and from Fermilab to the Union Pacific train line into Chicago. Information on this shuttle will be posted soon.
Breakfast: Embassy Suites offers a free made-to-order breakfast every day, which is included in your room rate.
Lunch: Students will be on their own for lunch. During session days, the Fermilab Cafeteria will be open and accepts cash (USD), and most major credit cards. On Saturday and Sunday, students are on their own.
Dinner: Fermi Research Alliance, LLC. will host a reception, pizza night and banquet night in which covers three nights. Embassy Suites offers an evening reception with complimentary drinks and hor dourves every evening. Otherwise students are on their own.
Restaurants within walking distance from the hotel include: Bricks Wood Fire Pizza, Jason's Deli, Naf Naf Grill and Subway just to name a few.
