My name is Jake Calcutt, and I'm a grad student at Michigan State University. As we are all in the beginning of our careers as researchers, it can be hard for our voices to be heard by higher-ups in the collaboration. I believe it is important to provide a way for members of Young DUNE to voice ourselves so that we may have more of a say in both the Collaboration and in our own professional life. Additionally, systemic issues within the collaboration can have a direct and acute effect on us, and it is imperative to empower us early researchers in challenging those issues. As SAC rep, I would work to provide our voice directly to the Spokespersons to achieve these goals.
