David and Tom attended the first frameworks task force meeting and signed up for a few discussion items.
David has been bulletproofing JJ Russell's RCE import code. We will likely have to make a DUNE fork of the repo as we're using JJ's repo as the reference copy and we cannot modify it, and JJ is no longer being paid to work on this. This is likely to be repeated in the future -- project-deveveloped code and tools will have to transfer support to operations. Ideally the authors would stay on as experts.
The 35-ton TPC article has been submitted to JINST, so we may start cleaning old code out of dunetpc, and cutting out lbne_raw_data.
GEANT Reweight: Jake Calcutt has been devleoping a package for systematic reweighting of GEANT. There are non-DUNE interested parties wanting to use it. We proposed adding it to nutools. Tom misspoke at the meeting, saying this was a GENIE reweight tool, which is incorrect. It's actually GEANT reweight. Discussion during the meeting suggested contacting Jake to see if existing tools already do the job (there are GENIE reweighters in NOvA and MicroBooNE, and als T2K). But there may be GEANT reweight tools out there too.
