Hi everyone, I’m Iker de Icaza a second year PhD student at the University of Sussex in the UK. Currently based at Fermilab, where I’ll be until early next year. Working both on SBND and DUNE. I’m familiar with the life at the lab and have experienced all the seasons; I understand the key aspect of building community, particularly amongst young and newcomers scientists. I’m constantly amazed by the progress achieved by the collaboration, particularly by its young members who pull most of the heavy lifting. As Spokespeople Liaison I’ll serve as a connecting link to the spokes, trying to push for a horizontal approach to communicate and conduct science. More importantly I want to continue the wonderful my predecessors have carried out in building the Young DUNE community.
