Overview

The HEP Forum for Computational Excellence is organizing an open community-wide meeting to be held March 16-17 at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. The meeting will be held all day on March 16th and until noon on March 17 allowing people to travel out that afternoon. Parallel sessions on current tasks and organizational issues will be held on March 17/afternoon and the morning of the 18th.

The purpose of this meeting will be to review accomplishments over the last 6 months and to discuss how we want to focus our efforts over the course of the next year. There will be an emphasis on what we should do to help “shape” the exascale landscape and insure that the exascale systems -- more generally, the exascale environment -- will be of maximal benefit for HEP science; this will also require a significant corresponding effort by the HEP community.
