Computing Division workshop to discuss computing challenges facing FNAL experiments & collaborations, and potential R&D areas in networking, middleware, & computer security to help meet those challenges.
General classes of challenge areas:
- I/O - including networks, data access, data handling etc
- Resource management - including job, data, clouds, grids, authorization, ID
- Programming - including GPUs, multi-core
- Fault tolerance - including robustness,
- Power / green computing
