Description

The fourth session of the Programming Video Journal Club will be Wednesday, September 9 2020, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. (Rescheduled from Sept 2, because of technical difficulties).

In this fourth session, our talk is from Kate Gregory and James McNellis. Presented at Cppcon 2014, the title is "Modernizing Legacy C++ Code". Kate and James discuss how to improve "legacy code" -- which they define as "code that doesn't follow current best practices".
Our community has a great deal of such code.

Please try to watch the talk before the session. We'll start the session with a 15-20 minute summary of the talk. We'll then follow with 40-45 minutes of free-ranging discussion on the topic. Please come prepared with your comments or your questions! The real value of the session come more from animated discussion than from my re-cap.

Please refer to the email announcing the session for the Zoom meeting information. Feel free to be eating lunch while we meet!

If you are not on the SCD general mailing list, please contact me (Marc, [email protected]) directly for the Zoom connection information.
