Session 10: C++20 Ranges in Practice

US/Central
Description

The next session of the Programming Video Journal Club will be on Wednesday 21 April 2021, from 12:00PM to 1:00PM.

In this session, our talk is from Tristan Brindle. Presented at Cppcon 2020, the title is "C++20 Ranges in Practice". While the title says C++20, most of what Tristan presents is available using a C++17 compiler (or even C++14) and the range-v3 library from Eric Niebler (which is the origin of the range library that is part of C++ 20). In this talk, Tristan presents the use of the range library to help simplify code, and to help avoid errors.

Please try to watch the talk before the session. We'll start the session with a summary of the talk. We'll then follow with free-ranging discussion on the topic. Please come prepared with your comments or your questions! The real value of the session come more from animated discussion than from my re-cap.
