Richard Diurba

My name is Richard Diurba. I am a postdoc at the University of Bern and currently work on a ProtoDUNE-SP hadron cross section and the commissioning of ND-LAr prototype modules.

I am well-suited due to my previous roles as the MicroBooNE Young coordinator and an officer with the Fermilab Student and Postdoc Association. I acted as a messenger in these positions between upper-level management, like Fermilab's Users Executive Committee, and young scientists.

These experiences taught me to offer direct, simple, and stubborn action items. Otherwise, real action becomes pushed to the next collaboration meeting agenda. In those roles, I also have career development experience by organizing events such as seminars.

I hope everyone had a great summer and look forward to seeing some of you at the upcoming DUNE workshops and meetings.

Alex Moor

Hi, I'm Alex (she/her), a PhD student at the University of Cambridge, UK, and I am currently based at Fermilab for my LTA (Long Term Attachment). I work on both the DUNE and MicroBooNE experiments as part of the Pandora team, and on-site I'm working with the Argoncube 2x2 team. I have a lot of previous representation experience on sports committees, and I would like to bring this experience to the Young DUNE SL Rep position.

In the spirit of inclusion, I am very serious about making sure everyone feels happy and part of the team, something I would make a priority in communicating to the spokespeople.  I would also like to try and bring to light particularly the views of new collaborators who may not know the correct channels to get the treatment and help they deserve, as well as attention to early career development for everyone. This includes advocating for appropriate mental health provisions.
