Description

The Standard Model Effective Field Theory (SMEFT) provides a systematic framework to parametrize the low-energy effects of unknown heavy particles. In this talk, I will show that in the presence of additional light particles such as axions and ALPs coupled to the Standard Model (SM) via classically shift- invariant dimension-5 operators, SMEFT Wilson coecients are generated by means of one-loop order renormalization group (RG) evolution equations. This yields additional contributions to low-energy observables which I will discuss for the case of the top chromo-magnetic dipole moment to lowest logarithmic order.
