Welcome! Fermilab's Society of Women Engineers (fSWE) is excited to host your dedicated visit ON SITE! We hope to help build a vision of your career with us, as we showcase the some of the work, facilities, and people at Fermilab. Please come with a smile and a curious mind!

A few reminders:

  • Participants must be 18years and older.
  • Participants must be a full or part time student at Olivet Narzarene University or a teacher/faculty member affiliated with Olivet Narzarene University.
  • Participants will be responsible for their own transportation to and from Fermilab. Once onsite, the site taxi will be used to and from tour stops.
  • For safety reasons, closed-toe shoes are required for all participants. 
  • Refer to eshq.fnal.gov/covid-19-community-levels/ for current levels
    • During a Low and Medium Community Levels, masks are NOT required on site unless otherwise posted.
    • During High Community Levels, masks are required to access indoor areas.

      Public visitors may enter Fermilab through either of two entrances: Pine Street in Batavia, Illinois, or the Batavia Road entrance in Warrenville, Illinois. The main gate at the intersection of Pine Street and Kirk Rd is strongly recommended.

      You will need to stop at the guard station at the gate and present the following:
      • QR code or informal invitation letter, provided to you via email from Fermilab Service Desk
      • an acceptable form of government-issued photo ID to access the site. Those who have not yet obtained a REAL ID-compliant ID (REAL ID driver's license or passport) are encouraged to obtain one.

      After IDs are checked at the entrance gate, public visitors will receive a red sticker that must be visible all times when on the Fermilab site.
