The meeting is divided into two parts
2-5 May Collaboration Meeting
9-12 May Analysis Retreat
The agenda and slides are in the MicroBooNE docdb (password protected).
- Most attendees will arrive by rail. It is then easiest to reach Lancaster University by bus. The closest bus stop is (I think) the Lancaster Bus Station which has a handy live information board. The 1/1A (fastest), 100, 41 or 42 buses are the most common buses that will take you to campus. The Stagecoach app is a pretty useful tool (but it sometimes shows phantom buses).
- Once inside campus, get off the bus at the 'Underpass'; you'll know you're there because the bus will go under a building and suddenly get very dark. Climb the stairs and you'll reach 'Alex Square', join the 'Spine' and head to the meeting!
Car Park
- If you're visiting campus on a weekday, then pay & display charges apply. A ticket can be purchased from any of the pay & display parking meters located across campus. Charges are:
- £2 for 2 hours, or
- £5 for a full day (£3 on South West Campus and Car Park K Sports Field).
-
Parking is free after 6 pm and at weekends. Blue Badge holders are welcome to park without charge.
-
The visitor car parks are clearly labelled.
- We will spend the first week in the LUMS building (Lancaster Univeristy Managment School). See the map attached below.
- The university campus generally has a central 'Spine' (see attachment). The best way to get around campus is to walk along the Spine. All buildings we will be in are located on the Spine.
- The campus map can be found here.
- MazeMap is a really useful navigator and can be found here.
- I've attached a figure which highlights (hopefully) all of the buildings we will be in.
- There are quite a few current/past Lancastrians among us who can ask (me, Ishanee Pophale, Christ Thorpe, Karolina Wresilo, Daniel Barrow, and others...).
- You can always ask a student for directions...
- Reach out to Jarek, me or Ishanee on Slack.
- (In case of an emergency) Jarek's phone number is (+44) 01524 592743.
