The recent developments of low-mass and low-power CMOS MAPS (Monolithic Active Pixel Sensors) combined with the possibilities of large area coverage make this a very interesting technology option for FCC-ee as well as other lepton colliders. In recent years commercial CMOS processes with quadruple-well technologies to allow for full CMOS circuitry inside the pixel cell as well as high-resistivity substrate wafers to enable depleting part or the full sensing volume have become available and are being explored by a large community.
