Disappearance Room (WH13SE) and Zoom

    • 10:00 10:20
      Roundtable Updates 20m
Speakers: Alan Bross (Fermilab), Alfons Weber (JG-Uni Mainz & Fermilab), Diego Gonzalez Diaz, Naseem Khan, Tanaz Mohayai (Fermilab)

      GORG:

Tanaz: getting ready for 1 atm running.

      GOAT:

Tanaz:  on Day 11 of gain stability test.  Vessel at 10 bar anode at 3250 V with argon/methane 92/8.

Also showed some plots of gain of Argon/CO2.  Gain up to ~300 at 3250.  Went up to 3400 and got a gain of 2k with Argon/CH2, but that data is still being analyzed.

Diego thinks that behavior is at expected up to about 6 bar, but then something seems to change.   Diego also suggests looking at the energy resolution.

Tanaz:  8, 9 ,10 bar were from the latest campaign.  Up to 7 bar taken in March.

Alan: Pulser might have drifted, but a small effect.  Purity has been below the detection level of O2 monitor.  Drift distance is 15 mm.

Alan showed the gain stability, which has looked very good.

Diego would be interested in gain at 98/2 argon methane.  Could operate at the platuea of drift velocit.y

      TOAD:

Naseem: Electronics are here, but do not seem to be working well here.  Work on hold for easter holiday.  Could be noise on power source.  Work proceeds on beamline monitoring.  All four wire chambers work.  Trying to get LArIAT daq running.  It builds but still can't talk to chambers.  Trying to prepare for  ORC.  Magnet not waorking.

      Light Collection:

Diego:  Thick GEM working again. And glass GEM has arrived.

      ECAL:

      no update

      Software:

Tom:  There was a software release last week.  Hopefully fixes some issues federico was seeing.

      Future talks:

Andrew will give a practice seminar talk next week at this meeting.  He can maybe show plots up to 7 bar.  Those have been shown publicly before.    The practice talk will take up all of the meeting time next week, so no round table updates.

Also we would like the schedule some short (10-15 min) talks on light collection, GOAT+GORG, and TOAD at the upcoming bi-weekly Phase 2 meetings on Mondays.  Diego would like a general talk from Alan, who declined.  Maybe too late to have a talk arranged for next Monday.  Try to follow up offline on this.
