SITE ACCESS PROCESS

If you are already a Fermilab Affilliate/User with an ID badge valid through August 2, you have the required access and are ready to attend the school!  All others read below:

You must obtain access approval before arriving onsite.

The access approval process could take anywhere from a few days and up to four weeks depending on the specific situation, so we encourage you to register early.

Once you register for HCPSS, an access request will be automatically created for you. You will receive an email from Fermilab Service Desk <fermi@servicenowservices.com> containing your access request number.

Upon approval, you will receive an informal invitation (for US citizens) or a formal invitation (for non-US citizens) with a QR code.

You can check your site access status using your access request number: ServiceNow (servicenowservices.com)

Here are some details of this process specific to our school:

As a student who will be on-site for more than one week, choose the Affiliate/User request option.

For the User Affiliation section, indicate "Hadron Collider Physics Summer School" as an affiliation and Anne Ferguson as your point of contact.  Indicate the appropriate Professional Class (many will be Visiting Student - University - Non-Thesis), and the research you will work on is "Student at the Hadron Collider Physics Summer School".

Indicate the dates of the school as the computing system and physical access dates. You will be continuously at the Batavia site, with WH 1W (Wilson Hall 1 West) as a work location.

The remainder of the form requires your personal contact and institution contact information.

When asked if your institution is sponsored by a Foreign Country of Risk (the People’s Republic of China, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the People’s Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, and the Russian Federation) please indicate "Yes" if this is the case; all others should indicate "No".

Let us know at conferences@fnal.gov if you have further questions about applying for site access.
