      Timing

      Last week

      • Preparations for interim PRR for AFCs (writing talks, clarifying some details, practice on Wednesday)
      • interim PRR (Friday). Most significant questions about choice of vendors and how to ensure vendor competent
      • Firmware to capture timing messages arriving at endpoint and produce HSI data.
      • Testing the fddaq-v4.4.0 in timing system hardware.

      This week

      • Review FIB v2 design
      • Continue with OKS for timing configuration
      • Finish v4.4.0 release testing
      • Support for PD2 ramp-up

      CCM

      • Control
        • Nanorc -- request from Alessandro on login pending
        • Drunc -- struggling a bit with how the information is organised in OKS. Retain support for daqconf?
        • Discussions with RSE group on GUI work
        • New post-doc Pawel Plesniak started a week ago -- will work on run control and spend time at CERN for PD
      • Config
        • OKS meetings ongoing
        • Collection of tags for engineering release
      • Kubernetes
        • Microservices:
          • Timezone in the run registry/number wrong -- Geneva time but labelled GMT -- solution to store UTC.
          • Disconnection from the DB every 24 hours -- now renews every hour.
        • K8s testing
          • Long runs without problems (or better without k8s problems)
          • Plan multiple new run tests.
        • K8s PM
          • Basic tests with PODs
          • Discussion of UUIDs for processes in k8s vs ssh.
      • Monitoring -- Marco away. Very minor activities (see Slack).

10 GbE emulator butler is currently being updated to enable sweep over packet size and link utilisation.

40 GbE emulator butler is being constructed from existing scripts.

Obtained help and example documentation to inform decision on how to structure report of PRR.

        • how to handle fddaq-v4.5.0 (how to manage what gets included when)

      EHN1 Run Coordination (Wes):

      • NP04 expected to be full the week of April 29 (next week)

      • High priority NP04 preparation work

        • PDS + SSP/LED calibration

        • Data challenge with offline computing to be going on this week

          • Configurations prepared without using np04-srv-005 nvme drives, but will attempt to run tests with those as well

        • I am late to get a better fleshed out NP04 expert shift calendar / planning – working on it, and will distribute soon

      • NP02 coldbox to be finished at the latest by Thursday

        • Do we have requests for data between now and then? If not, we can give our ok to end things earlier.

      • Proposed DAQ cluster access form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSc7g9v-lEEAffCmyG3RTQZSnzVz0GUbF3GWGOa82JAmyP2PCQ/viewform?usp=sharing

        • Requesting input from other consortia, then will advertise

      • Have a candidate script for clearing old data ... needs to be added to crontab still

      Software Coordination (John):

      • daq-buildtools v8.0.0 released; contains a DUNEDAQ_DB_PATH environment variable which tells OKS where to look for schema and data files
      • For the next couple of weeks will personally reduce effort on Software Coordination in order to create a program which can flexibly create graphical displays of configurations
        • Will ensure things still run smoothly, plus Andrew will still be contributing
