Analyses to consider
- Bias for HI rich/poor in redshift determination
- What is the HI mass fraction for which we have the optical redshift? - Frank!
- Albert is plotting Reza's SDSS mocks in order to compare with our own survey
- Gabriela will run/refine her cluster-finding algorithm on Reza's mocks. Hopefully, can comment on this in paper (unlikely to form a new paper)
- X-ray clusters. Reza has checked ROSAT; no confirmed clusters in our region. (Sources in our region are identified as AGN.)
- Check SZ-filtered Planck maps for possible SZ detection - beyond scope of this paper
- ask Dan McCammon; Reza's new lab colleagues about e-Rosita x-ray clusters (possible future paper). Dan will join us for dinner on Friday.
Writing/ editing tasks
- Note in introduction of paper
- use Durbala paper as example of a 'small' survey to follow for our own paper
- check cost of publishing in AJ (Durbala is in AJ). < $1K (< 30 'quanta') - looks like Albert can pay this
- Paper writing/review/ integration of John's report
- Reza will insert John's text into draft paper; refine organization of the paper first, then copy/paste pieces of John's document.
- All will carefully edit each section by assigned person below, under 'supervision'.
2. The Survey - John will supervise all of Section 2
2.1 Target Selection - Frank
2.2. Instrument Setup - Greg
2.3. Data Reduction - Greg
3. PRESENT THE CATALOG - Albert will supervise all of Section 3
3.1. Redshift distribution - Albert
3.2. Selection Function - Reza
3.3. Analyze structure present - Reza, Albert
3.4. Impact on future NCP surveys - Peter
