Minutes and Action Task List from Sept 18 2019 Electroncis and Readout Integeration Meeting
- Attendance: Clarence, Cindy, Linda, Ting and Steve
- On last action: Clarence mentioned the Linux update on the server make difficult to talk to the RS232. Need to follow up with this issue
- We looked again the latest detector layout paying attention of the rack area on top of catwalk
- We want to move the cryogenic condenser away from the electronic racks
- One suggestion is to split the Minerva electronics into two racks -- one on the downstream end for the 24 modules there, the 2nd one one the upstream for the 12 modules there
- Clarence needs to check the length of cables (LV and Ethernet) to see we can use existing one
- Linda is to give the info on cable length to Clarence
- Linda introduced the ICEBERG isolated power and grounding scheme
- The scheme for clean power: building power ---> double-shield transformer --> new AC panels --> TPC electronics
- Cryostat vessel outer shell is on detector ground and should be isolated from floor with thick G10 piece
- G10 thickness needs to be calculated to reduce Independence
- Service equipment, DAQ go to building power
- There should clear separation of detector ground and building ground
- all grounding connection should be explicit and no floating is allowed
- TPC front end electronics should connected to detector power and be on detector ground
- Service equipment and DAQ server should go to building power and building ground
- dielectric break on all cryogenic pipes
- the connection between equipment with on different grounding could be made through fibers
- Grounding impedance monitor should be on all the time to make sure there is no grounding violation
- The cost of the clean power is about $5K. Installation takes about 1 week with electrical workers
- should think of doing this early next year after Minerva decommissioning
- At MINOS, the clean power should be built from the building power (not from the 75KVA transformer)
- We need to make decision whether we connect Minerva electronics to the new clean power
- Linda and Ting to contact Igor about adopting clean power and grounding scheme for argonCube cryostat vessel feedthrough flange design
- Linda also gave us an introduction of the rack building Excel tool.
- Cindy will try this out to document the Minerva electronics
- We looked briefly the info we collected on the drift HV power supplier -- Spellman SL150
- We want to know whether it works with 60HZ 208V input
- Steve also suggest to get a schematic for the PS
- Need to get more info on the noise filter design
- We decided to use DUNE docDB for electronics integration documentation
- Everyone should get access to it
- Ting is to ask a new tag "ArgonCube" or something like that
- We will meet again Oct 2nd. Linda to introduce the SEDR review process.
