The Laboratory Directed Research and Development (LDRD) program is the only source of discretionary R&D funding at the laboratory. It is a precious resource for funding developments of new concepts to build Argonne's future R&D programs and capabilities. A review of the program will be presented along with a number of suggested improvements. The goal is to have an open discussion and get audience perspectives on ways to increase the LDRD program efficiency and impact.
