Travel:

  • Probably the easiest path for most people will be to fly directly into Manhattan, KS (MHK) airport through O’Hare (ORD) or Dallas Fort-Worth (DFW).
  • The MHK airport is just 7 miles from the campus and hotels, and taxis are available. The hotel and meeting rooms are within walking distance, as are restaurants, so in principle, you don’t need a rental car. However, public transportation is limited.
  • The airport also has a rental car facility. Book in advance if you want a rental car from MHK as availability may be limited.

Parking:

  • If you need to drive to campus and park a car, then you can use the parking garage and pay at a pay station or the Park Mobile app. Garage parking costs 2 USD/hour up to a daily maximum of 16 USD. See https://www.k-state.edu/parking/parking/ for details.
  • It is also possible to buy a temporary parking permit at 6 USD/day or 22 USD/week.

Hotel:

  • We reserved 40 rooms at the Courtyard by Marriott Manhattan Aggieville hotel, just a 0.5 mile walk from the meeting rooms. A room costs 119 USD per night and includes complimentary hot breakfast, complimentary wifi, and free parking.
    • Reservations must be made by October 12.
    • Do not use the link above to make reservations. You must use the special link found on the Accommodations page to get the reserved rate. (Only visible to registered users.)
  • Other hotels are available nearby. (See map and link on the Accommodations page.)

Navigation:

  • The meeting will be held in rooms on the second floor of the Kansas State Union. See the map below.
  • An interactive K-State Manhattan campus map can be found at this link.
