Site Access

When registering, please indicate if you will be attending in person or remotely. For in-person participants, once site access is approved, you will be sent a QR code which will allow you access to the lab.

Zoom information will be provided for all remote registered participants prior to the start of the meeting.

Non-badged visitors check-in at the Aspen East Welcome & Access Center:

Access to the Fermilab site has recently been updated to include a Welcome and Access Center at Aspen East for all non-badged visitors. The purpose of this center is to provide visitors with a smoother access process and to allow for a more efficient badging experience. Visitors without a current Fermilab ID badge should enter through the Batavia Road – East Gate entrance. Refer to the Fermilab site map for guidance. New visitors who enter through the Pine Street or Wilson Street entrances will be issued a red public visitor sticker so they can proceed to Aspen East for badge processing.

Please plan to present to security your issued QR code and REAL ID.  If you are a Foreign National please note that your Passport counts as a REAL ID. Once scanned, you will be directed to Aspen East where you will be issued the appropriate badge based on your visit type.

Badged employees and visitors (Users and Affiliates) can proceed directly to Wilson Hall.

 I-94:

As a Department of Energy laboratory, individuals visiting Fermilab require appropriate immigration status. If you are traveling on a short-term visa such as an ESTA (Visa Waiver Program) or using a B-1/B-2 Visa Stamp, you must enter as a business visitor (WB/B-1) not a tourist (WT/B-2). If your I-94 shows a tourist status you must contact Customs and Border Protection to change it before being allowed on the Fermilab site.

For instructions on how to find, print, or correct your I-94, please refer to the instructions on our website
