Access to SLAC
All visitors are required to show a valid photo ID (e.g. passport, driver's license) in order to enter SLAC. Visitors staying at the Stanford Guest House will be issued a guest card to further ease the access check. The SLAC Main Gate, located at 2575 Sand Hill Road in Menlo Park, is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Please refer to the "Cosmic Frontier Workshop" and "Panofsky Auditorium" when at the gate so the officers are aware that you're participating in the meeting.
Parking
On-site parking at SLAC is free but extremely limited as we will have 425+ conference attendees on site on Wednesday-Friday for multiple meetings. Please carpool or take public transportation to get to SLAC. If you’re coming from the airport, please consider taking Super Shuttle or taxi to SLAC instead of renting a car. The Stanford Marguerite Shuttle runs between Stanford campus and SLAC on regular intervals each weekday. If you decide to drive to SLAC, please be sure to park safely along the loop road so your car is well out of the traffic lane. If you are a SLAC employee, please help our conference guests by parking beyond the Sector 17 or Sector 30 gate so that visiting conference guests have a place to park in the general access area. If you’re a Stanford employee or affiliate, please park on campus and take the Marguerite to SLAC. More information on Stanford Marguerite and parking can be found here: http://transportation.stanford.edu/parking_info/ParkingInformation.shtml.
