WELCOME TO THE INAUGURAL US MUON COLLIDER COMMUNITY MEETING

We are inviting you to the inaugural meeting of the US Muon Collider community on August 7-9th at Fermilab. This will be an open meeting with the primary goal to engage broader participation in the muon collider effort, familiarize new groups with the current status of physics, accelerator and detector developments, to discuss ways they can contribute to the effort, and take the next steps in forming a US Muon Collider collaboration. We anticipate adding a tutorial to the main workshop, to help new groups onboard quickly.

The main audience for the meeting are US-based physicists interested in working towards a Muon Collider as well as the physics it could cover, but all are welcome. Members of the leadership of International Muon Collider Collaboration (IMCC) will present the status from Europe, including plans of opportunities to contribute to the upcoming European Strategy process.

The registration fee is $250 and includes a banquet dinner at Two Brothers Roundhouse in Aurora on August 8th. In addition, Fermi Research Alliance, LLC will host the following events: Welcome Reception+Poster Session at Fermilab on August 7th. The fee will be waived for students and postdocs.

The registration deadline was July 10, 2024. It is currently still possible to register, though FNAL site access approval is not guaranteed, particularly for late registrants who are not US Citizens, for whom the process can take longer.
