Traveling from Cancun Airport to Mérida

Traveling from Cancun Airport to Mérida

Upon arrival at Cancun International Airport (CUN):
1.    Exit the airport and find the ADO Bus kiosk:

  •  If you’re arriving at Terminal 3 or 4 (the international terminals), you’ll find an ADO Bus kiosk either inside the terminal or just outside in the transportation area. Look for the bright red ADO Bus logo.
  • Go to the counter and ask to purchase a bus ticket to Mérida.

2.    Choose your route:

  • Some buses travel directly from Cancun Airport to Mérida. This is the easiest option, and the journey typically takes 4.5–6 hours.
  • Other buses may first go to downtown Cancun. If this happens, you’ll transfer to another bus there. In this case, you’ll need to buy a separate ticket for the Cancun-Mérida leg of your trip. Don’t worry—ADO staff will guide you and help you with your connection.

3.    Board your bus:

  • Once you have your ticket, head to the boarding area.

4.    Arrival in Mérida:

o    Your bus will arrive at Mérida’s central ADO station. From here, you have several options to reach your hotel or final destination:

  •     Taxi or ride-sharing service like Uber or DiDi.
  •     Va y Ven public transport: Mérida has a modern public transport system called Va y Ven, which offers a direct route to the Fiesta Americana stop, conveniently located near the hotel. This is a budget-friendly and easy option ($45 MXN).
