Cheryl Patrick (University College London)

Hiya! I'm Cheryl Patrick, a postdoc at University College London. I've worked in neutrino physics since 2010: studying neutrino interactions on MINERvA and DUNE, and neutrinoless double-beta decay on SuperNEMO. I'm on the SuperNEMO steering committee, and the UK Institute of Physics Astroparticle Physics committee, so I've got plenty of experience working with senior colleagues, and making sure early-career researchers' opinions, concerns and issues are represented.

Students and postdocs are a huge part of the scientific community. We face particular challenges in terms of career progression, acceptable conduct, and work-life balance. We also have new and fresh ideas that deserve to be taken seriously. If I am elected to the DUNE SAC, I will do my very best to ensure your voices are heard, your interests are represented, and Young DUNE has a real and meaningful input in collaboration decisions. I am confident I can do a good job of it, and I would be honoured to to serve on your behalf.
