Proposed Changes to Young DUNE Governance

We are proposing two changes:
Change 1: Section 4.1, “Institutional Board Representative and Spokesperson Liason” [start of section]

Current text: Young DUNE shall elect two (2) representatives to the collaboration to serve one-year terms. These two representatives serve as the leaders for Young DUNE. One of these representatives is to attend the institutional board (IB) meetings while the other is to act as a liaison to the Spokespeople.

Proposed text: Young DUNE shall elect two (2) representatives to the collaboration to serve one-year terms. These two representatives serve as the leaders for Young DUNE. One of these representatives is to attend the institutional board (IB) meetings while the other is to act as a liaison to the Spokespeople. A Young DUNE member may not be elected to either position more than twice.
Change 2: Section 4.2, “Spokespersons Advisory Committee” [end of section]

Current text: Members of the SAC may not also be members of the Executive Board at the time of their election. They can only be re-elected to this Young DUNE position once.

Proposed text: Members of the SAC may not also be members of the Executive Board at the time of their election. A Young DUNE member may not be elected to this Young DUNE position more than twice.
