Disappearance Room (WH13SE) and Zoom

    • 10:00 10:20
      Anomalous NuTaus 20m
Speakers: Herilala Razafinime (University of Antananarivo), Soamasina Herilala Razafinime (University of Cincinnati)

Vivek asked if there were any nutaus produced in the optimized beam that reach the detector.  No, assumed to be none.

Diego asks why NC events aren't considered?  Miraima says they are considered as backgrounds in electron and rho channels.  Interactions here are in ND-LAr

Leo asks on slide 5 where do curves come from?  The data that is being fit is MC sample of muons in gas momentum is reconstructed gas using GArsoft.

Alysia asked about on vs off axis.  Miriama said preliminary studies show that it does not help.  You lose a lot of nutau when you go off axis.

Tanaz:  Great to see that these studies are using GArsoft.  Might be helpful to share instructions to other BSM analyses.  Leo notes that  one can get started with GArsoft at https://github.com/DUNE/garsoft

Vivek:  How long data taking is shown here?  One year.

      Roundtable Updates 20m
Speakers: Callum Cox, Diego Gonzalez Diaz, Francisco Martinez Lopez (Queen Mary University of London), Naseem Khan, Tanaz Mohayai (Fermilab), vivek jain (SUNY Albany)

Diego:  There had been more discussion of milli-charged particles.  Will try to do a sensitivity analysis, but maybe not in two months.  Also maybe will start looking into hyperon production.

Also a request to perhaps converge on a GLoBES description of ND- GAr.  Joao Penedo and Joao Pulido would appreciate this at some point.
