Linac

  • Running OK.
  • Had a problem with a water skid yesterday that they are looking at in detail this morning.
Booster
  • Good week overall.
  • 4.5E12 to NuMi.
  • 1E12 to SY.
  • 22 minutes of downtime for the week, mostly misc RF.
  • Commissioning of the laser notcher continues on the $1D cycles and the system is working well.
  • Early capture studies and cogging code updates continue.
  • Requested studies before the shutdown are listed in the accompanying slides. Tan is studies coordinator.
Main Injector & Recycler
  • MI has had a smooth week.
  • Currently in access to repair water leaks on two RF cavities.
  • Ring wide rad survey is also being done this morning.
  • Requested studies before the shutdown are listed in the accompanying slides.
NuMI
  • Running well.
  • Currently looking for a water leak in the MI stub.
NuMI Experiments
  • Running well.
Booster Neutrino
  • Cooling water is getting warm along with the weather.
BNB Experiments
  • MicroBooNE has updated their trigger.
  • Prepared for WH power outage this weekend.
Muon Rings
  • Beam studies have been in progress.
  • M1 TLM studies will continue this afternoon.
  • Note that there is no access permitted to AP1.
  • Ran 8GeV mode to delivery ring and worked on orbit smoothing.
  • Plan to turn on in 3.1 GeV mode today.
Muon Experiments
  • Hope to be ready for S&S this afternoon.
MTA
  • Cleanup is underway. Access is restricted to the cleanup team.
SY120, Neutrino Muon, Meson Test, Meson Center
  • Lost clock to the M05 ESS Thursday but that was recovered quickly.
  • MCC5Q2 tripped.
SY120 Experiments
  • SeaQuest is taking beam when it's available.
  • LAriat is taking data.
  • Mtest has ORC for Ice Cube experiment and will take data this week.
FAST
  • FLuids group is investingating 300MeV line flow meter issues.
  • 3 50MeV quads are being skewed for flat beam transform operation.
  • CC1 and CC2 RF stations are being brought on line.
  • RF gun and CM2 stations will be brought on when RSO locks have been removed.
PIP-II Injector Test
  • Established beam through the LEBT and MEBT with high efficiencies.
  • Checking out new instrumentation.
  • Looking at getting permission to run at higher duty cycle.
  • Plan to shut down and install remaining quad triplets in mid-July.
Alignment
  • Supported LCLS2 installation.
  • Alignment support for Muon campus.
Controls
  • Addressed problems with the FSEPS motion controls.
  • Replaced Booster MADC #4.
Cryo
  • MTA is running well at 4K.
  • CMTF is running well and is in cooldown mode.
  • NML/FAST vacuum skid is back together and ready for operation.
  • G-2 expansion engine has been tuned up and is running well.
  • HAB plant is running well.
EE Support
  • Taking advantage of today's access to do a short list of inspections and address some minor issues.
Mechanical & Fluids
  • Addressed problems with a tripped KRF skid temperature controller.
  • Looking for a leak at MI62.
  • Investigating cause of tripped LCW pump at NS2.
  • Had to defer several jobs planned for today's down period.
RF
  • MIRF 4 and 10 water leak repairs are in progress. (Update: Current estimate for completion is noon.)
FESS
  • MINOS sumps are both pumping well. Chlorination treatment is showing good results.
  • CUB cleanup is progressing well.
  • Preparing for Wilson Hall power outage tomorrow.
  • CUB LCW pump motor #6 was replaced.
