Submission deadline
Dear Colleagues,
The 11th International Conference on Voice Physiology and Biomechanics will take place at Michigan State University in East Lansing on July 31-August 3, 2018. It is our pleasure to invite you to propose one or more papers (oral or poster) on all aspects of voice physiology and biomechanics including the neurophysiology of voice, laryngeal anatomy, objective evaluation, and application of intelligent systems and machine learning. Specifically of interest include the following:
Acoustics | Modeling |
Aerodynamics & kinematics | Molecular cellular biology |
Aging | Neurobiology & neurophysiology |
Airway physiology | Neuromuscular control |
Laryngeal biomechanics | Simulation |
Laryngeal imaging | Tissue scaring |
Machine learning | Wearable technology |
Form and Length of Abstracts
An abstract of not more than 300 words is required for each presentation; longer abstracts will be truncated. All abstracts should be submitted using the linked template in English and clearly identify the objectives/introduction, methods/study design, results, and conclusions of the work.
Presentation Type
During the submission process, you will indicate a preference for presentation style (Podium, Poster, Either) though it may not always be possible to honor the request.
Submission Method and Due Date:
Authors must submit abstracts online (see link below or “Submit Abstract” to the left). For the submission, enter the required information in the form as well as attached a version using the supplied template [link to attachment].
You will need to create new user login the first time you do this. The due date for submission is 10 February 2018. The author(s) of the selected paper(s) will be notified by March 15, 2018.
Proceedings
All contributors are requested to submit an expanded abstract write-up (maximum 2-page) to contribute to the published ICVPB 2018 Proceedings. The template for the proceedings write-up can be found here.
Please email your paper as a “.doc” or “docx” file to icvpb2018@gmail.com. Name your document to follow the standard file name given (“[first author surname] ICVPB2018 Proceedings Template.docx”); an example if the first author surname was Smith and there were co-authors: “Smith et al ICVPB2018 Proceedings.docx”. For logistical reasons, when you email your document please include the filename in the subject line of the email similar to Subject Line: Smith et al ICVPB2018 Proceedings submission.
Presentations
For podium presentations, a computer will be provided and is preferred to save time transitioning from one talk to the next. However the projection hardware will have standard audio visual connectors for using your own laptop. For poster presentations, push pins will be provided. Suggested width (across) of a poster is a maximum of 50 inches (55 inches is the absolute maximum space allocated for each presenter).
Sincerely,
Eric Hunter & Dimitar Deliyski
