We have drafted some guidance for speakers and session moderators (see link to document above). A few key points:

  • Speakers:
    • There are a large number of talks and for the program to proceed smoothly it is critical that speakers stick to their allotted time. Please add as many backup slides as you would like (or upload backup information) for access during the discussion sessions, but keep the talk focused and on-schedule.
    • Keep in mind that this is a collaboration meeting - the goal is to understand progress, clarify plans/goals/milestones moving forward, and identify resources/expertise needed to accomplish those.
  • Moderators (toggle the "Detailed view" icon in the timetable to see session moderators):
    • Moderators have two major tasks, both of them difficult:
      • Keep the session on schedule. Monitor talk times and have presentations for the session lined up for minimum down time
      • Plan and moderate the discussion session. Keep the discussion focused on defining and summarizing goals, next steps, tangible milestones, and on identifying who will lead the efforts, and whose expertise and facilities should be used to accomplish them.
