This email notice was sent out to all registered participants as of 08-24-2018
Thank you for registering for ULITIMA 2018 taking place at Argonne National Laboratory September 11-14, 2018. We are excited for your attendance and we would like to share a few logistical items with you ahead of time.
Your site access will be set up beginning Sunday, September 9, 2018 and ending Saturday, September 15, 2018. If you will be staying with us outside of these dates, please let me know so your site access can be adjusted. If arriving during normal business hours (Mon-Fri 6:30am-5pm), please report to the Visitor’s Reception Center off of the North Gate/Cass Ave entrance to obtain your gate pass. If traveling outside of these hours, report to the Guard Post to obtain your pass. You will need to wear your gate pass from the waist up at all times while on site. The pass issued on your initial entrance will be valid for the length of your stay.
Driving directions to Argonne and public transportation schedules can be found here and our site map can be viewed here. The Argonne Guest House is ~1 mile from the Visitor’s Reception Center. The Guest House offers a free shuttle service that runs Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. Call them at (630) 739-6000 or stop at the front desk for information.
If you will be arriving by limo/taxi, your driver will need to be a US Citizen to guarantee access. We have provided a couple of preferred companies that are familiar with Argonne’s site access policies here. If a limo/taxi will be picking you up at the end of your trip, please send me the company name, date and time of pick up, and location of pick up so I can arrange site access for the driver. If you will be traveling with a cell phone, please provide that as well.
