The Technical Exchange System (TXS) is an UKRI in-kind contribution to LBNF. UKRI is also providing a target to LBNF. Since the target will be inserted into the LBNF Horn A, there are activities to prototype components and practice the insertion and removal of the target. These procedures will eventually be done remotely due to activation. As part of the design process a dummy target will be inserted and removed from a prototype Horn A using a manual TXS. The results of these tests will be used to refine the design of the target-horn system and the TXS.
