HIGGS FACTORY COMMITTEE MEETING:
The Higgs Factory Coordination Consortium for Accelerators (HFCC-A) will have it’s first meeting from January 15-16, 2025 at Fermilab. The HFCC-A will be coordinating R&D and developing plans for contributions to an off-shore Higgs Factory. The HFCC-A has a steering group and 14 L2 coordinators; the charge and organization of the HFCC-A are available at www.ushfcc.org. The immediate goals for this 1st meeting will be to: 1) consolidate input for a white paper on off-shore Higgs Factories to the European Study Group that will be making a recommendation on the next large-scale project at CERN, and, 2) develop an initial set of R&D activities for possible US contributions to an off-shore Higgs Factory that might be supported in FY25 and FY26.
