Energy Frontier Capabilities discussion Fish Tank WH13X

        Fish Tank WH13X

For our studies we should define a framework of questions and a some parameter spaces such as such as beam type, energy, luminosity, energy spread, machine backgrounds, etc, the corresponding physics drivers, R&D needs and social impact (cost, power consumption, site footprint, etc). The framework should motivate i) the assumptions for the physics studies in the HEF and ii) the work on R&D, feasibility, costing, etc in our group. We will be interested to understand the physics interest of given sets of energy, luminosity and the HEF group may be interested in knowing the feasibility or trade-off of some parameter sets. Finally, we should agree on technical tools for simulation and their inputs.

        • a) Community Input for Snowmass on Neutrinos
This session discussion focusing on the Community Summer Study ("Snowmass") process and the path forward for neutrinos. It will be a time for gathering input from the community on the best way to proceed (rather than a forum for specific proposals). The following questions will be up for discussion: 1. What should we hope to get out of CSS? 2. How should the opportunities be updated beyond the Intensity Frontier document, and how can we develop a coherent strategy moving forward? 3. What can/should happen between now and next summer? 4. How should we organize the neutrino sessions at Minnesota?
