Description
The goal of this workshop is to gather technical lessons learnt from LCLS-2 that will be important for the success of LCLS-2 HE. Talks will focus on data analysis (so work preparation for the talks should be done well ahead of time) to substantiate lessons learnt in the areas of interest/risk for HE: o field emission at VTS, field emission at CMTF and tie data to changes made in the clean rooms (so what we or the vendors have done good or bad and what else we can/should do now that we move towards even more ambitious gradient goals); experience at BOTH labs o performance up to 21 MV/m at CMTF in terms of quench behavior and or end group heating etc at CMTF, data and testing procedure review of all CMs at both labs o cavity data analysis for quench (Dan) as a function of heat treatment, batches, time period, what have we learnt that can guide us to reaching more consistently 21MV/m and above quench-wise o lessons learnt from material for flux expulsion o lessons learnt from outside of clean room CM assembly o Discussion of acceptance criteria for VT and CM , what should we improve for HE especially for CMT o Procurements lessons learnt – have the SOTRs speak o CM Design issues, lessons learnt
