Intensity Frontier Neutrino Working Group Meeting - 2011

US/Central
Andre deGouvea, Kate Scholberg (Duke University), Kevin Pitts, Sam Zeller
Description
An initial meeting of the Neutrino Working Group will be held on October 24, 2011 at Fermilab in CDF building 327.
In view of the fact that we have only one day for this meeting, we intend to keep the proceedings highly focused on challenges and prospects for future experiments, and on new ideas -- there will be no standard review talks. The day will be organized with invited talks on future programs in the morning, followed by brief contributed talks on new ideas for intensity frontier neutrino physics in the afternoon. The afternoon will also include time for discussion and short "town hall"-style presentations where participants will be invited to express their opinions on what the future direction of neutrino physics should be.
On the registration page, please indicate if you would like to present a contributed talk on a new idea, or if you would like to present an opinion during the "town hall" session. These presentations will be very short and very strictly timed. Although in-person attendance is much preferred, presentations can be made by video or phone. The deadline for registration and presentation requests is October 14.
There is no registration fee. Coffee breaks will be provided. We will also be hosting a special fixed-price dinner at Chez Leon on Monday night. Participants are encouraged to stay for that. Update: please note that the dinner is now full so there is no additional registration for this event.
