Indico will be unavailable on Wednesday, Nov 20th from 7-7:30 CST due to server maintenance.
Meeting goals and reports on user requirements from various application domains.
This session focuses on ongoing activities and developments related to tools for Geant4 version control, code development, maintenance and release; such as CMake, binary package distributions, and the use of third party packages (for example CLHEP and XML parsers).
The session will also discuss the introduction of "shifts duties" for collaboration members to help in system testing. Related procedures and tools will be discussed.
This session focuses on the current status and planned extensions of validations and tests suites in the areas of standard and low-energy electromagnetic physics.
Contributions will include reports from both user domains experts and developers.
This session focuses on the current status of, and planned extensions to, validations and tests suites in the areas of hadronic physics and low-energy neutron extensions.
Contributions will include reports from both user domain experts and developers.
This session focuses on reviewing good practices for writing code in an effective way.
Special focus is on how to write thread-safe code that is MT/MC ready.
Current status and plans for Geant4-MT is also discussed.
This session focuses on demonstrating and discussing relevant software development tools and techniques important for the entire collaboration. All Geant4 collaboration members should be aware of and familiar with the tools and practices needed to develop high quality software for Geant4. During this session, the use of testing tools will be demonstrated. Software practices related to computing performance will also be discussed.
This session focuses on ongoing activities and developments related to the following modules, working groups and areas: Run and Event, Tracking, Geometry and Transport, Particles and Track, Persistency, Documentation, Examples, Detector Response, GUI, Visualization and Analysis.
This session focuses on the ongoing activities and developments related to the following modules, working groups and areas: Processes and Materials, Standard and Low-E EM Physics, Hadronic Physics, Physics Lists.
Note that contributions in the area of validation of physics models are discussed during Tuesday sessions.
Summaries of the topics discussed during the parallel sessions will be presented.
Meeting wrap-up and future perspectives
