Description
We invite you to attend the 7th annual IOTA/FAST Collaboration Meeting and Workshop on High Intensity Beams in rings, which will be held at Fermilab on June 10-12, 2019. The goals of the three-day workshop are to discuss the progress of and the plans for the IOTA/FAST R&D program in accelerator and beam physics with a particular focus on aspects of high-intensity beams in circular accelerators. Also discussed will be operational challenges, associated with high-intensity beams, in the present Fermilab accelerator complex as well as possible paths towards the future multi-megawatt beam facilities. The first day of the workshop will be dedicated to the overview of the status of the IOTA/FAST facility and recent commissioning and experimental results. The main Fermilab accelerator complex beam physics highlights and operational challenges will also be reviewed. The second and third days will include discussions of the IOTA R&D program, the planned beam physics studies in the Fermilab Booster and Main injector, and future research towards the future multi-megawatt beam facilities. If you require a letter of invitation to obtain a visa for traveling to the USA, please contact us (llopez@fnal.gov) as soon as possible. We look forward to seeing you at Fermilab in June 2019.
